Mission

     The mission and overarching goal of the Southern Queens Yankees Baseball Organization is to be recognized not only locally but nationally as one of the premiere amateur baseball organization in the New York Metropolitan area. To facilitate this, the Southern Queens Yankees Baseball Organization provides players, with a unique opportunity to continue playing the game they have grown to love. The Southern Queens Yankees Baseball Organization is dedicated on being an organization that gives its players the opportunity to showcase their skills on and off the field to a local and national audience. This exposure provides a platform for visibility which otherwise may not have been afforded to them due to various financial circumstances, educational handicaps or social-economical status.    

     The Southern Queens Yankees is an organization that prides itself on playing the game the way it’s supposed to be played, with passion, respect and class. With this value in mind the Southern Queens Yankees Organization provides an environment which assists players to develop into better individuals in life by providing valuable lessons through team-work, camaraderie and hard work that will better shape and represent the individual as well as the young minority community, in many cases. This is an organization which consistently aims to be a platform for players that are also seeking the elusive dream of signing a professional baseball contract as well as for players that just love the game.

     Southern Queens Yankees was created in the fall of 2004 and was designed to cater to the younger minority player, but has now grown to include players of all ethnicity and ages. This team is built on the foundations of pitching, defense, offense, and teamwork. A laid back atmosphere which allows friendships outside of baseball. The Southern Queens Yankees rely on its players to believe in its motto Pride…Tradition… Baseball...(More than a team its a FAMILY)
